Howdy - Posting here on Saturday, the 4th of August.

Just dropping in and now departing to run some errands. Storm warnings are posted for our area so this will be a couple of VERY quick trips!!!

See you all later. Stay safe.

Stay safe Carleen!

Hi everyone! I feel so sad that I missed out on a lot on my favorite nest this year with all the stuff happening in my life. Now they are gone already! Hope to see everyone keeping in touch here until the eagles return.

My brother got settled in a new care home today! It's an actual home and much nicer atmosphere than a hospital and he will continue to get speech, physio and occupational therapy here for his stroke damage. It's nice for me because it is here in Langley and 10 minutes away for me. That should make my life a little easier!

Take care Delta aunties! Glad to see you here Unicorn and Carleen. I hope to see some our new aunties here this year!hug

I don't do much board reading just cam gazing but I am so happy that your brother is in a care home that is so close to you. A care home should be much better then a hospital. I am glad that things are turning around for you and your family.

I hope she won't mind but Priscillash did a very nice tribute video for Stephi, a Lesser Spotted Eaglet who passed away when she was pulled from her nest by a goshawk.

It shows her snuggling under Mom's tummy, just like she still did in the evening and early morning even though she was getting large enough to branch.

Calling on all our talented Screen Cappers

Do you have a favorite screen capture of our very own Ma & Pa's Wub

Ma & Pa Delta2
Ma & Pa Lafarge
Ma & Pa White Rock

If you do.... and would like to share it with us please send it to Debs571@hotmail.com - with the subject heading HWF Screen Capture Contest, no later than noon Sunday - August 26, 2012 .

Pick your best screen capture as Debs' email only has so much room.

When submitting your screen capture please include the following information:

Your screen name and contact information
When your capture was taken and at what Hancock Wildlife Nest (although we will likely be able to tell please include this information)
Images must be JPEG saved and no larger than 500 pixels
The screen capture must be "raw" without any enhancements; text or animations
The nest must be part of the capture

We would also like some screen captures that include some of our famous HWF kids or bobbleheads with or without the parents in the screen capture
and preferably taken when the chicks were just a few days old.

This Screen Capture Contest is for screen captures only no professional pictures this time around.

Although we would love to promote everyone's favorite screen capture ... as they are all "keepers" we can only select a few from this contest, which will then be used in an upcoming promotion so good luck to you all.

We will keep all screen captures on file for future HWF promotions so you never know when your favorite capture may be used in the future.

Thanks for participating and we look forward to seeing your beautiful screen captures!

I missed the cam clean up. Was David able to retrieve the owl leg, does anyone know?

Also, I know it's not Delta 2 but it helps with the cam expenses - Christian Sasse's White Rock Eaglets book - Foxy and Echo. article.php/WhiteRockEagletsBookPre-OrdersNeeded

He's also done Bald Eagle prints, of which I have 2. Smile

And look, the calendars have gone to print. I'm excited.

wave Morning elfjune! Myles handed David a bit of debris from the nest but apparently the owl leg had absconded prior to their visit. Sad Myles searched quite diligently, with bare hands I will add, right up and into the nest.Oh My
They'll be back soon! Cheers
