Hi Newbie, Hi Raining! It is wonderful to see you both. I am glad your Maine home is being protected Newbie and also that you, Raining, are on the alert.

Yes, Raining, started some preps for our trip. At this point everything else will be the day before and packing will be wierd as I will need a coat? Wow, what a concept. Yeah!

Newbie, glad you like my words. I enjoy your sunny smile and also Raining's fun attitude so thank you for being you.
The eagle you posted is adorable, well kind of, but yes, our Jet is one of a kind.

Hugs to all y'all,
carolyn

I am writing this a little early as we will be busy moving things indoors tomorrow as well as getting our fresh veggies at the outdoor markets before Irene's wrath gets this far north. We will be sending positive thoughts your way, newbiE. I am hoping this is a media storm but we will know more by tomorrow. Thanks for your good wishes, Carolyn.

Good morning all! Hugs and prayers for those in the path of the storm-humans and animals! I survived my first week at my new school. It's challenging with construction of an addition no where near finished for the first week of school, but everyone seems friendly and it's a beautiful work space. I have gone from a 25-35 minute crazy drive to a very peaceful 10-15 minute drive and 5 minutes away from my granddaughter's school instead of a 25-30 minute drive. That was what made the decision to go to my new school so easy!

Good Morning Aunties.
Raining and everyone in the East please stay safe ! It seems every August we have members here going through one type of storm or another. It's unbelievable the way the weather patterns have changed over the past few years.

Darlene, was all the staff at your new school back to work last week or did you start early in order to get into the routine ? I know going to a new building always takes a bit of getting used to.

We're back to work on Monday -- UGH ! A deep sigh I was just getting used to being on holidays Titter

I've been sewing up a storm the past few days.
My daughter and son-in-law have been approved for adoption and the agency called them a couple of weeks ago and told them to prepare for "sooner rather than later". I'm hoping later doesn't mean two years down the road but then again they could get a call any day between now and then so I suppose it's best to be prepared.
Getting as nursery set up has become my project because it has to be decorated in MICKEY MOUSE and there is no Mickey Mouse nursery sets anywhere so I have been delegated to sewing it all from scratch Help emo I got the window valance, receiving blankets, crib sheets and rocker cushions done and my sister has them loaded in her car to take them to Calgary with her tomorrow. I still have a few things to do but no rush for those.
No wonder I don't want to go back to work --- I'm too busy and work interferes in the things I love to do.giggle

Well Judy, I am proud of you for making exactly what they wish for their nursery. It will bring much good cheer. You can find lots of Winnie the Pooh, but Mickey no. I love Mickey Mouse so this must be cute to do. sorry about the work next week part.....Summer is nice, but a cooler one would be better here.

Darlene, so glad you like your new school. I was wondering about you. I was getting a sense of excitement from you about it so felt that all was probably well.

It's horribly hot prediction today so off we go for our walk while it is not......
hugs,
carolyn

Judy, you sound extremely busy but such a fun busy. How exciting! There were just a few teachers in this past week so it was a good chance to settle in. Next week the other 2 secretaries will be there and a lot more teachers.

Hello Raining, keep safe this weekend and enjoy the drama if you can!

Darlene, starting at a new school is always exciting. You add so many other personal positives to your move that it must be a joy to have changed locations.

And Judy, kudos on the sewing! My goodness, you moderate, you sew and go out to work! One talented lady with many skills. Left thumb up
