Helllloooo Aunties and Good Morning to you all wave hug

I received a video from Bev Day (OWL) this morning and wanted to share it with all of you......
It is awesome and just imagine ( Oh Mythat's all I can do because of a terrible fear of heights Nodding) flying with a bird.

Also, thought I would share my "up close and personal" moment with Anakin, a Harris Hawk. A couple of years ago Lesley (birdofprey), Karen Bills and I visited a raptor center here on Vancouver Island and participated in a "Hawk Walk". We walked through the woods with a handler and Anakin. The handler would give each of us a tiny bit of raw meat to hold in our glove, Anakin would then fly down from the trees and land on our arm. What amazed me was how quiet he was Wooh. The look on my face says it all, he was just suddenly there and one other thing he was sooooooo light, hardly felt his weight.

Wow, that is awesome! I cannot imagine the feeling (a) of being up in that flying and (b) the hawk coming in for a snack. Soaring with hawks.....how wonderful.

I loved your expression Sandra - of pure joy.

Sandra took a walk with a hawk on a beautiful day,
swooping in for meat the hawk came down to gather a bit from the glove,
while the smile of radiance lit up the face of the one holding what was above.

Such experiences make us realize our interconnection with these raptors,
and protect to defend them from all the dangers unknown,
so that the future can bring more joy released to the eye,

Just like a hawk then you and I.
