Sad news, the oldest chick on the White-Bellied sea eagle cam has died. Big hugs to liberty, you have been such a big help in working with Geoff to get us the information on this family! Prayers that the remaining chick stays healthy, it was pretty wet and bedraggled looking yesterday.

Thanks Carolyn and Raining. I am more excited that nervous which surprises me. I am going from a school of 530 students to a school of 800 students and growing, but it is so much closer to home and away from the horrid freeway driving with the new freeway bridge construction happening here.

OMG, I have such a heavy heart this morning. I just found out about the loss of another baby. One of our teachers lost her baby girl from complications during labor. She tried for a long time to get pregnant and was so excited. I feel sick for her!

Oh my Darlene, that is very sad news. It is difficult to know how to be supportive in a situation like losing a long anticipated baby. Terrible timing too with the beginning of the school year imminent. I'm sure the school team will rally with some creative act of sympathy. Keep well yourself.
