Good Night back friends......

We are under mandatory water rationing and it just got stricter. I feel so badly for all the plants that even if you water them they are too parched to absorb it. Many are making it - you can tell what is a drought resistant plant - but others are not. Our apricot hibiscus which I know you like Annie is doing great! Another is Mexican Heather that does well in drought.

What is wonderful is I saw our first hummingbird tonight when in the pool relishing our hamelia! Yeah! I hope this one allows others on the other bushes as we have four of those and salvia which they like also. It is such a pleasure to see them.

How warm is your pool Starr? Ours in AM is 88 and up to 90 by evening and if we keep the current shade pattern, might not be quite so hot, but with the over 100 degree temperatures, who knows? Hubby made an aerator for ours to try to knock heat out at night if nights cool off, but rain is the best help.

Yes, I will pray for Starr - did not realize they had huge rains there! That is my old stomping ground - lived right over the George Washington Bridge in Tenafly, NJ - and grew up in NJ.

So good to see all y'allo - Annie, jas, Lana, Arlene and I hope you have sweet dreams......Bibbo kitty sends a fuzzy kitty hug.

Of course in the evenings when the water cools down.
Maybe not with kitties who do not like water or cannot swim

Just a quick Good Morning as today is another busy day......

The picture of the kitty watching the mouse hole reminded me of one time after we moved here when I noticed that a small gecko had gotten into the house. So.......I have three kitties on the prowl and I am trying to confine it to take it back outself. Geckocide did not appeal to me - maybe bugs but geckos are cute.

After much chasing and racing and fending off kitties I got it in the dustpan and outside followed by happy gecko.
So.....enjoy your day in a gecko safe way.
