Awww jas.....thank you. TX, same here long time no rain and over 100 every day. Plants dead and just every time I put grandson in car when I have him he says "it's so hot".

Lana, before I stop posting on this thread - loved your picture! You have a gift.

I put a poem on the Finland osprey site y'all might enjoy if you take a cyber trip there to look. It's a fun site and my favorite on this entire web site (well favorite in Finland anyway).
I will be around the forum......

HelloGood Morning All.......

Jas.......
That is just lovely and..... Titter @ "not coconuts". This heat affects my brain enough without more nuts. Grin

Here's a pic of how my back yard looks thru all this unusually extreme hot summer. You won't see many plants as i've moved what i have left of the potted ones to the shade. It's still stunts those, too. I have a small garden patch and all that's left now is the okra (does well in heat) & tomato plants that i'm hoping will hold on & come to bloom again in the fall.

I live at the end of a small neighborhood in the country. My property backs up to a large trac of land to the south & there is an old homeplace to my east. The one green patch you see towards the back is where my areobic system sprays; hence the green grass there. I don't water grass elsewhere in the yard. It goes dormant, just like in winter, then comes back beautifully green when the rains start again. I've lived most of my life on well water, so i say, waste not, want not. Smile

wave jasWub your new day posts…great way to start the day! Such lovely poems & graphics you share daily too…thank you. Thanks also, much, much, muchly, for your prayers for Texas rain. hug

Hi Tx…I had a big chuckle when I saw jas’ “Palligators” too…good one for sure! happy
Uh Oh…Another post gone…know that feeling, GF! Bash computer
I love your pictures & commentary…what is usually ‘green’ around my house my house & garden is now dormant or just plain ole’ ecru d-e-a-d.
What’s that about dark clouds & thunder to your North…about my luck, as I live South of you!
Good Luck @ hopefully getting rain today! Cheers Hope it will be a bunch of bunches!

G-son Terry is making his last move with a U-Haul load of things he’ll need for his new apartment in Denver, CO…while attending pre-med classes at University there the next two years. Yesterday I inherited all his pot plants…herbs & flowers…he delivered & placed them on the front porch area along side mine. It’s beginning to look like a garden out there. Guess I’ll have to sit out there (this Autumn – not now) when I get to missing him & talk to his plants. Grin

Carolyn and Naoma- we're often teased about "rainy Vancouver" but it hasn't really rained here much at all either. Our saving grace is that it doesn't get too hot. I sure hope those clouds bring you the much needed rain.

Carolyn, even if you don't post often, I hope you'll keep watching the eagle nests and eagle babies. Ok, first step to overcoming your addiction is to not reply to this post.WoohTitter

That looks wonderful, jas...would do them soooo much good! Thank You

It's lookin' like we 'may' be blessed this afternoon-evening...winds up, heavy clouds, thunder in the distance, & temp drop from triple digits to 80°. fingers crossed

Hoping Tx is already seeing the beautiful 'liquid sunshine' out her way...more fingers crossed's crossed!

Thanks about my home. Bought in 1964...raised our babies here & have many great memorys of this old home place.

jas, not so much "addiction" as over commitment, which I always do! Then I realize and go, uh oh!
That was cute.

No rain here TX and Jean - I wish, dangerous heat advisory, not supposed to be outside? Like right?
Went to nursing home, walked there, had a great time, caused 31 smiles.
Now to leave again........

Carolyn, sorry I chose wrong word regarding overcomittment, in otherwords your plate is full. Don't 'burn' the candle at both ends. Especially in that heat, maybe don't burn any candles at all unless it rains(no pun intended)Woohstay cool

Hey jas.....talked it over with hubby and he said to just balance it and post here on occasion - not make it a big deal or too much. I hope your teddy bear clouds bring rain.

So.....I will see if his idea works. I hope some of the Texans did get rain today!
hugs,
carolyn
