Thanks Annie! I was woken up this morning by the house finch that has a nest in an unused window upstairs. He perches in front of his sweetheart as she sits on the nest and sings his heart out.
Weirdly, a few days ago there were 5 eggs in this 2nd clutch and today there are only 3. There is a very small opening to access the nest so no big birds could have gotten in and it's straight up a wall, so no snakes or cats.
I have the first of my Datura Inoxia blooms this morning (last night) and my stephanotis opened its first also. If I could choose any flower fragrance as my own it would be the Datura. Clean, fresh and beguiling. I wonder if there is a Datura scented soap out there somewhere.
Now, off to the garden while it's still foggy. I have some Yarrow to plant. Still waiting for my zinnias to flower so I can give away half of them, but not until I see them bloom first!
