Gabi,
Your cake is fantastic! I love to bake too and enjoy new recipes I recommend Martha Stewart.com.She has hundreds/thousands of recipes and .decorating ideas.,all spelled out with easy to follow instructions and pictures. I think you would enjoy the website.
Your English grammar is fine.I am impressed. You wouldn't believe how many "native English speakers" don't do grammar well,.It is tremendous for you to have another language and to be able to write as well as read in English. I really applaud you. Don't even ask me about German! I couldn't even begin...
Carolyn,
Do you send "Bleu" out to do rescues? Do you accompany him/her?
Hello to all and see ya later. Julie

Hi ELFs!
I just had a delightful dinner with my son at a Mongolian Grill (yummy). He is still teaching this week, going home on Friday. He did receive his degree in Pastorial Theology up in Chicago on the weekend. Pretty cool!
It's been very hot here so any relief would be appreciated for sure.
Julie, Bleu (she) does guard me when I swim. She would come and help me if I needed it as I trained her to do that. I am not sure about whether she would help a child, but she does watch like a hawk so maybe. She basically lies down by side of pool with eyes glued on whomever is swimming. She is a therapy dog; i.e. goes to a nursing home and visits the senior citizens cheering them up with her love. We do this together using hand signals between us and she also gives me eye signals for what I need to do. It's really fascinating to watch her as she just "understands" in an intuitive way. You cannot train that so it is, or it is not. I love it too as I get to make folks smile.
I hope all y'all ELFs have a great Monday evening!
smiles,
carolyn

Carolyn,
I got therapy and rescue mixed up,sorry. Bleu and all dogs are a sure cure for what ails you. I keep cats but love dogs. "Good on ya " for using her to bring happiness to the nursing homes.I know it is rewarding for you both.Animals have ESP I am convinced. Have a wonderful day and with 100 plus today keep cool and safe.

Morning ELFs friends (Annie Hi Ho!)
Julie, I am glad I figured out to answer your question in two ways. I agree about the ESP. I have a cool book about animals knowing when their owners are coming home with lots of studies. They knew even if the owner changed the schedule or went back to office. At the time that owner did come a bit before were at door. My oldest cat does that - is there always for me. And Bleu always waits. Bleu uses that skill always in the home.
One time a stroke victim who had not spoken in months said "puppy" to which there was great happiness in that hall. I am due for a visit so after my son leaves I will get in there.
Have a great Tuesday friends (hope you do not have this heat; got up early to beat it).

Tuesday Evening Greetings ELFS!
Julie, I can see we have some things in common not the least of which is we are Gemini's! Sara and friends Kay (SassyKay) & Diane who drop in from time to time are all June babies as well as me. My birthday was June 11th.
SOOOO HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO YOU.....AND MANY MORE!
I'm with you on the cooler weather (long, hot summers here), dark chocolate, kitties and more. You will be blessed double for giving back with your teaching!
Gabi, Thank you so much for the receipe. Unfortunately I do not read German )-: so if you could help me, I'd be grateful. Your nephew's birthday cake is really wonderful and what fun for him. Wish you were my auntie, lol. I knew you worked at the Play Mobil factory. I enjoyed the video you posted early on.
I watched the video and it reminded me of the wedding video where all the bridesmaids and groomsmen danced down the aisle. Both very fun to watch and the lady's reactions were fun and sweet. Thank you for posting.
Carolyn, Many congratulations to your son on getting his degree! That is quite the accomplishment
and I know you a very proud of him! Pat, pats for Bleu and all the kitties.
Oh Karen, Beautiful pictures! I saw a program on Nat'l Geo I think it was, of calving glaciers and it was astounding. How wonderful that you saw it for real.
I am so happy for you that you have found a place for your dear Aunt. Slow down and take a breather once in a while GF. The kitchen will get finished and things will settle for your Aunt I pray.
Lana, How proud you must have been watching your granddaughter's ballet performance. Ballet is a favorite and I love seeing the youngsters.
I think I gained a little looking at Gabi's cake too!
HAVE A WONDERFUL NIGHT EVERYONE
