eta.....chick rescued by wonderful people who climbed up the tree. It was fascinating to view this. They were compassionate and took the eaglet for a few days as she/he was very weak and tending to fall to one side. They hope to bring her back stronger. This was an impressive thing as they got permits and then went up and got her out. The parents did watch and Mom is currently eating on the nest. Thanks again Claire - I really was glad I knew about it all happening. When I got there the rescue was about to start - so perfect timing.

Bleu and I had a great swim after 5 here. Looking for some of the rain in other areas of the country to come here again - we need it.

My aunt was not good today - am getting somewhat concerned!
I'm very tired - spent 2 1/2 hours cleaning up in her apartment - went to a funeral which was 1 3/4 hours long, then to see my aunt

Sunset in Esquimalt last evening, then...

...the moon at 3 AM this mornng because I could not sleep - will try for more tonight because there was a haze on in the middle of the night

Claire, I saw the additions to your post. I am relieved that the chick was rescued. I do not watch TV except for PBS so i understand where you are coming from. Also I have 5 cats and in my defense I have no clue how that happened. It started with 1 though. Then that one ate my computer cord and blew out my computer so I had to get a new one and I got him a companion. My last, Bibbo my fuzzy rescue kitty called me over the Internet (truly). She is my copycat - randomly lying on my copier and pushing buttons; where she resides right now, next to me.

I loved hearing about your cats dropping the gophers in your "Garden"! Oh No!

Lana, so tell me what made the duck stick as your avatar? Was it the last thing that sometimes it does not work until your restart? Or some other magic? It looks wonderful! (So did your beautiful face).

Annie, have you caught yourself coming and going yet? Just asking as I do that all the time and it can be very bewildering. I hope you get some down time friend (how about 20 minutes?).

Hi everyone! ClaireM, I was just going back checking recent posts when I found your video link about the little eaglet in trouble. I watched the video and was impressed with the caring this man showed as he looked over the eaglet. Thank you so much for letting us know about it. I know I will be watching now to see if this little guy is okay.

Wow, Wow, Wow! The moon is amazing! It is so huge! Make sure if clear you look at it, what a treat.

I took a few pictures for you, but not until evening so they are different. I hope you enjoy. I have my butterfly bush, then Lantana with Freddie our lawn ornament, then apricot hibiscus just for Annie and then in my next post Bibbo sleeping with her little stuffed kitty friend on my copier. It is sort of like the stuffed friend on the White Rock nest, but different.
