Good afternoon ELFs. Sorry I've been MIA for so long. Had to finish income taxes and still have some quarterly payroll taxes to finish before the end of the month. There is a light at the end of the tunnel now, so I know it will happen. I just wanted to drop by to say hello and how much I have been enjoying seeing all you wonderful pictures. And Carolyn, as usual your talent with words is great!! I love the picture of PYM and Pedro and the tribute to them.

Christian, you duck is beautiful. And Arlene, you are so talented painting your glasses.

Annie, the video of the little eaglet who fell was adorable.

Carolyn, I hope you are over your stomach bug. They are no fun.

My daughter is in Washington, DC, then to Williamsburg, Va with her fifth grade class. She just sent me a text and said that her 3 year old has Hand, Foot and Mouth with a high fever. She is upset to be away from him, but really can't easily get home. He is in good hands with her hubby and his mom is available to stay as much as necessary. Of course I can fill in some if needed, but don't think it will be necessary. I feel so sorry for him.
There was a baby shower for my Daughter in Law yesterday for my next grandson who is due June 3. She got lots of nice gifts. They just moved into a new (rental) house about 3 months ago and have been notified that the owner wants to sell it so he can buy a house in Georgia where his children are in school. So they are now having to look for a new place to live. Really upsetting with a baby due in 6 weeks. They can stay until the lease is up, but know they will be wanting to bring people in to look at the house, so are trying to get moved before Jameson arrives.

We are having COLD and windy weather right now. We just don't expect this when it is almost May. It's going down into the 30s tonight and only got up to 67* today and not much warmer tomorrow. It has really been a strange year. And snow in the northeast now.

Oh well, hope everyone has a wonderful week and I'll try to check back in sooner next time.

Good Evening ELFs.....

Today has been a day where I have been running around in circles trying to find myself. Can you relate?
The kids were here and tend to be everywhere in a short time. We did play some cool games when I was not extricating Miss L from the bathtub with my cat, or putting a teddy bear to bed, or any number of other rather clever innovative ideas which would not be desirable. What a hoot!

Sara, it is so good to hear from you here. It is rough when winter comes back on us when we think it is gone, plus we never really had it! I am sad about your grandchild being sick. Also, hope that your son can find a new place to live pronto. Thanks for your kind words.

I wrote a poem today for White Rock nest and it is residing over at the poetry corner. There were feathers everywhere, with eaglets barely visible unless they popped up and of course my wheels started turning.
Here is the link. forum/viewtopic.php?topic=349688#349688

It is just a piece of whimsy....hope you enjoy,
hugs,
carolyn

Hello All ELFS Have missed reading all the posts but has been extremely busy at work and of course the WR nest. Skimmed through them tonight very quickly and I thank you all for your concern of Miss Winston. She is fine, they did some xrays, put her on pain meds for a couple of days and she started passing the foam she had been eating. Now she is back to her bratty old self...and no she can't get up under the loveseat anymore.

Karen & Christian, great photo's as always. Lana good luck here in Victoria, Carolyn great poem and everyone else...I will catch up on Friday, my day off.

Took a shot of Zach watching the WR nest

Hugs to you all Jo
