Hi ELFs and Annie,
No, I have not had Key Lime Pie from Marie Callanders - I bet its good! The only dessert I eat at home is ice cream - I just love it.
Today was great. When Cat took Miss L to her pre-surgery appointment I took Mr. E into the pool for his first swim lesson of the year. This is way early in the year for him to be in and actually for me, but what do you do - he was in for an hour and made some great progress. He loves watching Bleu do her leaps and bounds.
They just went home so now is quiet time here for a bit.......sweet dreams,
carolyn

Absolutely beautiful pictures Christian Your bird looks like a Northern Flicker; great capture. They are beautiful when they have their tail feathers spread out. You have very good looking boys; I hope they had a good birthday.
I don't get here very often but I'm enjoying all the lovely photos everyone has posted

Hi ELFs and Kay!
Kay....Northern Flicker, eh? Thank you for solving one mystery. I love the colors on the splayed tail.
While just outside a Red Bellied Woodpecker was talking to me on a tree right above. He/she was young and quite beautiful. Then a cardinal hopped out on a branch on another tree and started singing. You got to love such moments and I never move as I do not want to break the gift.
Have such a day friends....surprises around the corner.

Tuesday Greetings ELFS!
I'll be back later but just had to show you a beautiful interaction between the eagles (Larry & Lucy) at Eagles4Kids, Wi nest.
MaryF posted wonderful s'caps and did a fine job describing their behavior.

Good afternoon ELFs
Sorry to have been absent so long but it has been an extremely busy long weekend
Good Friday we had a most beautiful service of Tenebrae in the evening at our church. Saturday was "MET at the Movies" and we saw Massenet's "Manon" with Anna Nebtrenko - wonderful singer!. Sunday I cooked Easter dinner for my aunt and her friends.
Apple Cake for dessert - Gabi, you may know this dessert, peculiarly European

After the clean-up which involved a lot of dishwashing we got a few hours sleep before getting up at the crack of dawn to go to Pender Island for the day to be with family.
Mount Baker yesterday - view that my son's mother-in- law has on clear days!

Mount Baker with coastal mountains on the sides

Christian, I apologize for calling one of your sons Daniel when his name is David You have posted some very beautiful pictures lately !!!
Gabi, What a wonderful post you did - love the dog in the pool
Bev, lovely Easter collage!
Gillian, that was a terrific picture of the sunset over the water
Joanne, your bunny, aka Miss Winston, is special, 'specially destructive Hope you get the chair fixed!
Annie, your moon picture is particularly beautiful! I love that orangy/yellow colour I haven't yet tried to get it in early morning but am sometimes lucky to get the moon in early evening with a blue sky behind. Those flowers on my Easter card are indeed mini marguerites which come up at this time of year in the grass. They are very common in Denmark but I never saw them in Ontario. Imagine my surprise and delight when I moved to the west coast and they appeared again!
Last, but most definitely not least, Carolyn, I hope that Miss L's procedure goes well on Thursday. I presume you will be looking after Mr. E.
Must run and do another load of laundry
