Hi ELFS , What another exciting day on the WR nest. Once again beautiful photo's everyone, Karen haven't been to BG for years, still looks great as always.Carolyn, yes she has the rule of the couch once again, as long as the brown blanket is not on it, she behaves. Annie even if you did make a mistake, I don't think anyone would take notice, multi tasker that you are...Okay couldn't resist I came out of the kitchen to see my little, fat, Miss Winston on the couch staring at the computer, up, down, and repeated about four times until she flopped at my feet.

Good Morning ELFs.....
Cherry Blossoms speak to me,
time long ago yet in my heart singing free,
wandering gardens serene while quiet,
speaking a language learned on the spot.
What brings us to where we are wander in our lives?
We know we are lead to choose our flights,
we leave and we go, we fly and we soar,
sometimes to turn around, and close a hidden door.
That must be what links us to view eagles so free,
grounded to their nests, but yet about to fly,
and in a blink of an eye!

Beautiful pictures this morning friends, Karen - the cheery blossoms positively glisten.
The rose is gorgeous. Jo, your pictures of Winston and the sunset are delightful. I have not written in a while and they caused some reflection so poem written for y'all. Oh and of course I love the Saxe Point Eagle so perfectly posed.
Just searched and found one more picture for Christian.......
This is the Golden Pavilion (Kinkakuji) in Japan, taken by me. Arlene, it is unlikely I will be going back as my Japanese mom has aged. I knew when I boarded the Shinkansen (bullet train) last time with Cold Green Tea can in hand that it was farewell.

Catch each moment as a treasure, the joy is yours to hold.

Good morning!!!
Carolyn - I am in absolute awe of your poetic talent, soooooooo beautiful!!!!
All the other photos posted - I am intrigued by the quality of recent images, so creative and inspiring!
OK - I am going to concentrate as much as possible on WR Ground observers in the next months, because I believe I can give some valuable contribution. Of course the close and wide field cameras are so much better, at the same time the quality of photos I am now achieving at the ground is inspiring and seems to compliment the installed cameras well. Yesterday evening whilst Ma was working on the 2nd egg, I was able to capture some beautiful images of Pa. And later Ma. So it is very rewarding.
So if I am not here often, you know why
I will look occasionally and the photos and poems here!
Christian

Thanks Christian! I am in awe of your pictures.....and know that your contribution to the ground thread will totally compliment the camera views. Please make sure you stop in here fairly frequently or we will miss you.
For you......
Christian has an eagle eye, a special gift indeed,
he sees the picture pop out before it snaps,
never wondering where it will lead.
Hours go by, time spent waiting, patiently knowing
the magic that occurs when the lens opens up to see his world.
While others miss that moment due to impatience to move on.
The wonders of life are seldom without cost, be it time, effort,
or moments lost to create the view.
Yet the reward is a wonder indeed, so we thank you with joy.
