Arlene, Annie, I'll take either of those temps. Woke up to 55F and it rose to a whopping 65F. I don't want the end to summer.
Arlene, pizza sounds good. I could eat it all the time. I love the Chickadees. So fast and their chirp too.
Annie, I was checking out the Sea Eagle, and down further on the page they had live cams to go to. One was the Pot Plant Owl, one was for Cranes and then one was for Winter. I don't think I need another one either. Now that I know it's there, I will be guilty of sneaking a peek now and again.
I just hate to wait for the freaking ads to finish; so time consuming and sickening.
Have a nice evening everyone.

Hi ELFs, we got back last night and I have been exhausted in a good way.
I just read back a small amount and noticed you missed me? Gee thanks! i missed you too. I will try to post here a bit but two chat threads is rough so my more complete trip reports will be at Screech Hollow with just light plops here. Bleu did have a good vacation, but was really glad to get home to do her "incredible leaping". She reminded me of the whales that breached right next to our ship throwing their bodies up in the air in a spectacular jump. It was beautiful.
Jas, we saw many wonderful animals and then some - let me list them as best I can - Humpback Whales, Orcas (in the distance), dolphins, porpoises, sea otters, sea lions, arctic terns, bald eagles, sea gulls, harbor seals,
and more! We saw glaciers calving, glaciers growing, snow on mountains and an incredible rainbow in Glacier Bay. One of the funniest questions I was asked was if "We get off in Glacier Bay National Park" - check it out and you will see why that is funny. Answer would be "well, if you can walk on water, maybe?".
I got to meet my friend for the first time face to face in Victoria - awesome! We had some strange weather so had to skip a port but it got replaced by Icy Point Strait which was fantastic. It is unspoiled. That was where we went on the amazing whale watch. That is a quick summary and I am going to go get more rest to come back to normal (that is if I ever stop rocking with the motion of the ship that is not here).
Good Night, sleep tight and dream of whales leaping......

We got a ton of exercise as you so properly guessed. I deck walked miles and we have a do not use elevator rule so came back fitter than I left - yeah!

Candy- thank you for winters webcam link. I spent hours looking for it. She is precious. I'd like to make a trip to Florida to see her in person. First I'll see the movie- I'm thinking I might go some time this week.
Annie- we like being baaaaaaaaaad Well Winter would like it if she had your loving energy sent her way. You can do a Carolyn style cold turkey webcam withdrawl
You'll need something to do if we get a snowy winter- how about sunny Florida weather with Winter. I'm baaaaaad:nod:
Carolyn, that is a wonderful way to get exercise- walking on the deck with all that fresh ocean air. I'm tempted now to do a cruise:nod:

Hi y'all.....
Jas, yes the deck walking is fun, especially when you are almost being blown over by the wind, grab on to the railing at the bow to not have it happen, go around the corner, get a good tailwind and speed up quickly unplanned.
It is also easy to lose count of how many when you make a friend. I managed to do about 5-6 miles daily and to top that up and down stairs all day as I could not miss out on anything or wanted to go talk to a new friend. So that is many stairs daily = fun, eh?
There was a service dog on board named Dudley - a goldendoodle. He was 4 years old. One of the funniest things was that the photographer took pictures of him (supposedly for his owners) but most were gone before they got them. He was loved by everyone. He met me the first day and remembered me each time afterwards, which impressed me. Dudley apparently goes everywhere and has been to Disneyland 6 times. Funny, I wanted a photo of Dudley but never thought of taking one.
Have a great Sunday......
