Love everyone's pictures Smile Thinking about our little boy this morning, hopefully he is safe and sound out there, but now its Mother Nature's call - he has got all the abilities that he needs to survive.
Someone was asking about the band, yes, the temporary pink band comes off when they are released, the metal one is permanent, it has a number on it, its from CWS so if he ever gets recaptured, we know his story, it won't fall off or hinder him in any way. Their feet are the size they will be into adulthood at this age, so it won't tighten or become a problem.

What a treat it was this morning to review yesterday's events through the eyes of planetocean and xeniepur. I feel like I was there too. Your stories were enlightening. Thank you for sharing the inside scoop at OWL. Magnificant pictures of the Owls and raptors.

I cannot get over the beauty of Oreo. Such detail and the orange around his beak and his talons just take my breath away.

Thank you planetocean for the Bluenose. Awww, it brought tears to my eyes just to think I was there in spirit. Enjoyed seeing the lunch at Sharkey's through your eyes as well. Looks like there was quite a turnout and can only imagine the exciting eagle chatter.

Thanks to everyone for recapping yesterday's wonderful release with pictures and words. Ralph and Bev and everyone at OWL thank you for all you do and make possible. Karen B thank your for all your organizational skills.

Oreo fly high and know you are loved by many. Red Heart

Slept in this morning....finally saw the pictures. Oreo is just beautiful. I really wish I could have been there. This blasted broken ankle kept me awake half the night and kept me from seeing something up close and personal that I have wanted to see all my life. And what was great about the pics, I got to put faces to names, thank you. Karen, I have e-mailed with you, so it was really nice to "see" you. Hopefully one day I will meet you. Now I have to catch up on Jet and Oreo. Wonder if Jet was waiting for Oreo and now they are soaring the skies together?? I hope so.
