There's a very active group following the nest on the Maine forum, and I don't have time to post about it here - did a quick look and didn't find it so put my pics here - the question is if there are four eggs or 3 eggs and a chick - and I think we're leaning towards 4 eggs. It's only day 36 for the first egg, so I don't expect a hatch until tomorrow or the next day - but it is possible.

As you may know, once you've attached a pic, it has a URL that you can use to post in other threads - or on other forums. Whistling

'Fraid not - I think it's five days.

I agree that a practice thread like this may be an exception - but in general people have finished polishing their posts, correcting typos, adding an extra picture or link - in a day or so. After that, they're more likely to make a new post with the additional information, knowing that people don't generally go back to see if there have been changes to earlier posts.

I wonder Judy if it's possible to set up an exception for this practice thread. No biggy but it's a waste of space starting a new one everytime you try something out

The setting is forum-wide, I'm afraid. I was originally thinking of deleting the practice threads from time to time, but they do have some interesting material. Perhaps at the end of the nesting season, when we're archiving the cam threads, we can post a warning in case anyone wants to save anything and then delete these.

That's a good idea Judy. I go in spurts where I'm trying stuff then I can go a long time before the next one. You'll do what's best I have full faith in you Titter
