Hi Bret -

As a Content Provider, you have the ability to delete your own posts in the Nests in BC - With Ground Observers forum. It's a tool Content Providers sometimes need to organize their posts on their threads.

If there are other areas of the forum where you'd like to be able to delete your own posts, you could sign up as a Topic Monitor for those areas - but in general there isn't a way for people to delete their own posts.

I did a post twice with a photo attached and deleted the post. So far no picture has shown in the post above me. The first one was Ma Norfolk turning the egg. I just canceled the post this time, without deleting anything. The second time was both adults in the nest. I deleted the picture link and the File formula, then canceled the post.

OK, I have a question before I get too far in the editing process. What does the green checkmark in the box under Silent Edit represent? Thank you.

This has been added by JudyB to see in an edit by an Admin shows up if I uncheck the box.
Update - Nope.

Beautiful picture, Ed! Grin

And I think I know - but let me make sure.

End of original post.

~~~~~
I've now unchecked "silent edit" and am editing my post. I'd expect to see some sort of "last edited by and when" language - but haven't actually tried this until now.
`````
third try - nothing showed up after the first, and when I went back in, silent edit was again checked. I'm again unchecking it.

+++++

still nothing - maybe it won't work on my own post? Taking a bit of liberty, as edkeagle asked the question, I'm now going to try editing his post. (Hi Ed - all I'm going to do is post at the bottom that I've been there - hope that's OK.

I guess we'll have to get back to you on that, Ed. I can't make it do anything. There is a setting to make silent edit the default - perhaps if we turn that off, the checkbox would do something. Sorry that I can't find an answer.

Do you see personal info in my profile? When I view my profile, it has all these custom profile fields that I cannot hide. I don't see those fields in anyone else's profile. Chin

Okay here's an s'cap from Norfolk Botannical Garden. Just practice:

Yes it works! I previewed it. Clapping

I just love all the emoticons y'all have here. Grin
