This thread is available for practice with pics, quotes, links - or anything else (within reason and the basic guidelines)
NOTE - Please do not delete this post. If you delete the first post in a thread, the whole thread disappears.
When I set up this area, I forgot that the software pops up a scary warning when you try to delete a post - see here for details. Unless you're in the first post of a thread, you can ignore the warning.

Wow a new thread to play in! What grand fun we can all have. It's going to be be so boring when we have to mind our p's and q's and go back to being well-mannered serious posters here.
well that 'edit' button right in the top of the post is very convenient. :clap2: Cudoes to who ever gave us that! :clap2: did i spell cudoes right??

Oops - I didn't think this one through very well ....
Go ahead and delete one of your posts, Terry - any post except the first one in the thread. I've been intending to add that terribly scary message to the list of things we'd like fixed if possible.
I've gotten used to it, so I'd forgotten how frightening it was the first time I saw it.
Deleting the first post will indeed delete the entire thread, but in spite of the message, deleting other posts in the thread only deletes those other posts.

Quote by: terrytvgalI'm going to try something else to delete this post... if it works you will never know it was here.
NOPE didn't work. I got the same warning message again.
Terry - all is well - that's the notice that you can ignore - as long as you are not in the first post - when it really will do what it says on the tin!!

Edit to add: deletion experiments with my own posts successful.
Will this also let me delete somone else's posts? That could be kinda, well, a bit chaotic??

That's why the opening preamble asks us to take care - just in these practice threads - you can indeed delete someone else's post - scary, isn't it!!

If you click on your picture, you'll see what a lightbox is, Pat.
And here's a larger pic, to make sure that it will appear at full size:

This is a pre-edit pic from Decorah and is 714 pixels wide; the thumbnail should be limited to 500
