Hi
Could someone answer this: I have noticed that the wing tips of the chick is "bluish" in coloration and both tips look abnormal...bent, I would say. Is this normal?

The bluish color could be just the way the camera is picking up the color. As for normal -- I don't think they appear to be normal but time will tell whether or not they develop correctly.

Mom flew off in a rush. Surely she can't be going fishing after that huge meal.

Cherry up for a poopshoot right across the nest. I guess all that good fish had to go somewhere. Titter

Mom returned empty taloned and immediately moves in to brood Cherry who snuggles right under Mom's breast.

JKR, I was thinking the same about the color, the cam.... The under side of wings are light in color, so the cam may be making them look blue.

After that fish she may be off for a stretch and poopTitter

Shshen, this afternoon I posted (you'll have to go back and look) some videos and thoughts on the wing development.

Thanks Jazzel26...I went back and read the entries. Availability of food for this chick may be a strong contributor to its slow development. I hope that as it gets older, the wings will develop normally.

835pmPST...rain has stopped (thank goodness) and it is chick feeding timeGrin

I don't think it's raining but the air is quite heavy with mist and fog after the storms last night. Mom is slightly spread over Cherry keeping her dry and warm.
Hopefully the fog lifts soon or it could be a bad day for fishing.
