4:23 am PST
Parents brought in a fish but youngest squirt #3 who I call Gus (he has spunk and survival instincts that is for sure!)
never got a bite. Oldest #1 took most of the food.
11:15 am PST
Parent has been feeding Gus the Squirt (looks tiny beside #1). I was actually cheering!!!
HOW can you tell the parents apart btw.???

Feeding time and Tail End Charlie got several bites at the tail end of the feeding!
Sister 2 had turned away and Charlie was able to move forward enough for Mom to reach his mouth from her feeding position.

There is a severe thunderstorm and hail warning in effect for late this afternoon for our region(which includes the osprey family area).
Hope the mother is strong to protect her babies in this high wind and rain (50 - 70 ,mm).

Welcome, brookec - and thanks for the updates, BET!
6:04 pm
Dad arrived with a fish

Looks as if #1 and #2 are getting most of it initially; # 3 is peeping away, but behind the others. Oh good - Mom just reached over - and gave him a big bite, which he gobbled right down. Didn't get a s'cap of that, but here's the feeding in general

I've only just started watching this nest - and am very happy to see very little rivalry. Even though they all seem hungry, they're focused on eating, not pecking at each other. And Mom can reach in back to #3 without the others pouncing on him.
Well, I saw the little one get three bites, and I may have missed one or two, but the big ones definitely got more. I think he's doing OK, but am hoping the next fish is bigger. I did also notice one of the older ones (#2?) not quite self-feeding - but picking up scraps that were dropped, which is close!
That fish went pretty fast - and I hope Dad finds another one before nightfall. Sounds as if Mom thinks so as well - what I'm hearing sounds like a call for more fish.
