Hello Sue and Welcome to HWF. Wow, will those eagle parents have their talons full. It is an awesome occurrance and I'm so glad you will be sharing it with us. I sure hope that is a LARGE nest! Great photos.

No wind this morning, but it sure is wet out. Mom is in the nest. I see these dark wet blobs trying to force their way under her wings. She does her best to give them a little shelter. They are so big that at most, only their heads get a little protection. As big as they are, they are still just little kids.

By the way, the nest is very large. What I see is only the front half. Gratefully, it's the primary living quarters, so I get an unobstructed view of the activities. The nest wraps around the back of the trunk and spreads way out. There's plenty of perching room. A little sunshine now. Maybe some activity as their wings dry.

Sue, Thanks so much for explaining that the nest is large. I will put my unfounded concerns to rest now.
