So glad to hear that the little one made back up to the nest, Sue! And will continue to keep my fingers crossed that all the fledglings make it back at the same time so you can count noses - or beaks!

Sue

Great news.....and look all of them have branched. What a successful nest. I was so happy to see the parent near Joker? in the video. I'll bet you feel so much better now.

Thank you for sharing this amazing nest with us.

All four were at the nest this morning. There was more movement by the two in the nest before I got to the video camera. You can see one on a branch to the left and one on a branch to the right. Two are in the nest. The one on the right in the nest is grooming. The one on the left is resting. Pretty exciting to account for all four.

I've never seen this before, but it cracked me up. The eaglet in the nest was picking at leftovers. It picked up what looked like a bone and moved it and put it down. Then it hopped up in the air and pounced on it with its beak, like it was pretending to catch it. I couldn't believe it, but it really looked as if it was going through the motions of catching prey. It just happened that one time that I could see. But it was pretty cute.

New behavior from the famous four nest. The two in the nest began seriously fighting. They were attacking each other with their wings with feathers flying until one jumped down on a nearby branch. I didn't get video of them fighting. I got video of all four though: the two bickering eaglets at the nest, one way down on a branch at the base of the tree, and one brief moment of the fourth one flying. The video is poor quality and jerky because of trying to catch all four, so I didn't include it online. I might later.

Then Mom came to the nest to calm the eaglets down. The two are back in the nest.
