wowww that was wild!! There was a ton of screeching and hollering and what sounded raven-like calls mixed in. Madis was just behind the bough on the left so there was no point trying to capture him. You just got wee peeks when the bough moved. The raven is still around the nest and Metra is back down for now

5:40 not sure what I missed in that action but I see there's prey in the nest, it's black and white and just below her tail

5:50 am wow there's some neat sounding birds there! no idea what that was. Can't even think of one for comparison. Another one very different 2 min's later. I must do research on the birds of Latvia when I get up

6:11 am Metra sleeping all neighbors are quiet and I'm off

8:00 pm Metra is on the nest brooding. The cam is acting up but I'll get what I can while it's up

No the cam is buffering over and over then down she goes

8:30 PM I managed one shot, she's still brooding and I'm giving up for maybe a half hour and see if the fix it

I must say I'm getting quite frustrated with these people always changing the cam view and it's always for the worse! If this doesn't stop I will be!

8:12 PM Metra was up but now they've got their logo blocking too much. That was right where Madis perched yesterday! The cam has been resized and to boot there's a cursor arrow that is staying right on the eagle!

Get a grip or I'll lose mine! The logo should be top left corner out of the way nest. We want to watch eagles not logos

I'm not going to take any more scaps today or watch it for the last bit of daylight. Tomorrow's a new day if I'm not here you'll know why Out

Thankfully they've made the logo smaller now I hope they leave things alone

It's very very windy and hard to get detail in the shots.

5:02 AM Madis showed up, not sure if he put prey there or not as Metra didn't get up

for others who were interested as I was, here's a list of birds in Latvia

my next mission is to listen to calls of the ones I don't know so I know who's near the nest

5:16 am Metra has still not gotten up

5:25 holy cow thank goodness this nest is in a beautiful live tree, the winds are wild!
