Empty nest when I turned cam on shortly after 5:00.

5:09 Metra returns to the nest. Moves a piece of greenery, rolls the eggs then settles on them.

Lori, How sad that we don't have a chick here! I wonder if either of the eggs is still viable? Estonia has a different problem....the cam is down. Speculation is that Remo may have had a collision with it and knocked it out of commission. Wooh The administrator of the forum has written to the guy in charge of the cam to see if he knows what the problem is....sigh sign

Lori, I just read on the looduskalender forum that the chick that hatched on Friday was on the 45th day, so maybe there's still hope for this one. Smile

8:48 Metra returns to the nest with some greenery, sets it down then checks the eggs. Sitting on them at 8:49.

9:42 Madis arrives with a meal. Metra isn't screeching at him this time right away. She starts out softly then gets a little louder.
Madis leaves for 5 seconds then returns with a little nesting material.
Does the same thing 10 seconds later and places it in the nest bowl. Her calls are very soft now.

10:51 Madis returns with I think a meal. Metra grabbed it very quickly.
Madis goes to the nest bowl and has a look, then exits to the left.

10:54 Metra rolls the eggs then back on them.

11:00 Up for a quick 30 second preen.

11:05 Up to roll the eggs.

11:13 Rolls the eggs then a short preen. Same thing two minutes later.

11:59 Off the eggs and lots of calling out. Moves out to the perch branch still calling. Calls heard fading in the distance as she flies off 2 mins. later.

12:12 pm Calls heard as she appears to be flying in the area.

12:27 pm Calling very loud as she lands on the perch branch, then returns to the nest and settles on the eggs.
Continues calling constantly and is answered occassionally by a bird that is mimicing her call. Doesn't quite have it right yet though.
I haven't heard ck once since I've been here today.
