Lori...I looked in on the nest before sleepy.

8:46AM Madis came to see how things were going and Metra wanted him gone I guess...she was really telling him how the cow ate the cabbage!!

8:47AM Metra just stood there studying the eggs for a few minutes. One of the eggs seems to be standing on end.

She is back on the eggs but is sitting up instead of the normal incubating position.

Hi Mary Hello

9:35 Eagle calls heard in the background.

9:38 Metra returns with a little greenery and places it, then back on the eggs at 9:39. Chitterer isn't happy that she's back.

Chitterer must be sitting on the cam some of the time as it gets very loud on occassion.

9:46 Back up for some preening, moves a twig, then back on the eggs all in one minute. Chitterer still not happy.

10:05 Metra still on her eggs, chitterer is finally quiet & you can hear the various bird songs now.

11:00 I missed the exact time she got up, but she preened for a while and was back on the eggs at 11:06.

11:51 Gets up and rolls the eggs then preens. Digs in the nest bowl, more preening, then back on eggs at 11:58.

12:15 pm Up to roll the eggs. Spends most of the time just looking at the eggs then sits on them at 12:20.

Ohh thanks very much guys! great coverage. Mary I laughed at your 'cow ate the cabbage' saying. She sure does tell him off doesn't she?

5:14 pm Shes up preening as usual and I see two eggs I think Rose, the one looks like it's up on the edge maybe it was hiding the 2nd from you sitting up high

5:23 she left the nest

5:33 she's back, it was neat cause the way the wind was blowing it looked like she poked her head through the branches at 9 cause that's all you could see was her head Laugh

5:40 well something happened here but what I'm not sure. I was reading EA and when I looked back she was standing where she is in this pic. With that branch hanging there all I seen was a flash of white. It could have been Madis but if it was she wasn't letting him in the nest. Now she's back standing over the eggs, then goes down on them facing 2. The bowl area is in complete shade now, hard to see the eggs

I heard all that screeching as well Lori, and came over to the computer and
that's where I saw her standing. Not happy about something.

I'm glad to be able to see both eggs again. I thought for sure something
happened to one of them.

yeah it was weird Rose cause the first calls were not Madis calls but then there were a couple in there with the Madis addition then back to not being. Kind of confusing what went on. Of course little ck was screeching with her...man alive.

I'm glad I posted both eggs for you cause I know the sinking feeling when we don't see them. My money is on the front weird looking egg not being viable and the back one will be. If I'm right and the back one is the second it's only day 38 for it right?

6:09 pm she's just being her pretty self staying on eggs and calling now and then. ck is quiet

6:29 she's the same, beak open slightly for cooling

6:43 up for a preen, she's so pretty Wub

the back egg looks like the pip is moving but I've been tricked by bugs before

6:48 preen is over she gently gets her feet right and back down on eggs

7:35 I've been off making lunch for BFF but got back to Metra down facing 11 and ck is yak'n

8:08 - 8:09 pm she took off, came right back and now both eggs look good, man this nest plays tricks  I sooo love this time of day, the lighting is gorgeous on her

8:41 pm ck has barely stopped yak'n even Metra is looking around as if annoyed. She just now tucked her beak in the bedding

8:53 she was up again for a preen and good stare at the eggs then down facing 3

9:24 she had gotten up again for a preen and egg roll then down facing 8 and now she's up again for a good stare

9:45 time for another preen and stare but the eggs say "nope!" and again 15 min's later

10:09 pm awww cutie girl

I better clear out, another 7 hrs and it all starts again Laugh Out
