I went over the Brussels Ferry to the Two Rivers Refuge. Not many eagles seen there, but i did see this one eagle and below it was this beautiful statue like Blue Heron. What was also beautiful was the ice that was frozen to the reeds next to the Heron.

I crossed back over the Illinois River on the ferry again and saw several eagles on the way. Easy today to find, I just watched for the cars pulled over and people with cameras.Titter

There were two pairs of eagles as I drove down the River Road.

This nest eagle was busy watching us and something below it in the brush. It also did some preening and beak cleaning.

This sub-adult eagle flies over the cliff near to where an adult is perched and lands in the top of a pine tree.

Mean while the adult continues to remain perched as eagle lovers are hoping it will take to flight. I walk around the area and see another eagle that is perched in a tree and it takes to flight. Some of the people watching the other eagle had been there for an hour waiting for it to fly. I had to giggle.Titter
