These photos are from yesterday Feb 16, there was lots of action from a juvenile perched with an adult, two adults perched, other adults, sub-adults, flying action, and competition for one large fish.
It was a great observation and photo day. I also met a few new people. One man was a photographer for the St Louis Rams. We saw an eagle perched on a log in the river near some woods and took off into this tree line to get closer to the eagle. Just as we approached, after walking through 4 in. deep snow the eagle flies off.

I will tell the competition for the fish story with the pictures. It involves one adult with a very large fish and what happens on the ice.

This first set of photos is a juvenile and adult perched together. The juvenile flies off and the adult stays.

Adult eagle perched that takes to flight.

These two photos are of the eagle that was perched on a log in the river edge and me and Cal tried to get closer too.





The nest three photos are of an adult that finished off a fish as I came upon it and then started to clean its bill.

This is another pair that was perched, one flies off and then the other.

The next group of photos are where a female joined the male that was perched with the juvenile.
