Good morning Jean! Hello

I can't get the cam to come up either. It should be running...it's in the middle of their afternoon now. The Africam site also says this cam has night vision and stereo sound. Puzzled I'm thinking this isn't the most reliable connection.

Hi nightowl!wave Thanks for letting me know. At least it's not a problem with my computer.( It bettter not be as my husband just had a super computer built for me for all my bird watching and photography I like to do) I do remember having problems like this last year. Maybe once the season gets well underway, they will keep the cam running better!Don't Know

I know the night vision didn't work out as they'd hoped, and am guessing the same is true with the sound.

With luck they'll get it working next year. I'm not sure if they'll be banding the chick (I know they will not be using wing tags again, but don't know about basic leg bands) - if so, they may be able to make changes to the cam at that time. But otherwise I don't expect they'd be able to approach the nest until the chick fledges and leaves the area.

I finally got the cam! Clapping I love that we can see the waterfall now...it adds another dimension to the view. I just wish we could hear it.

OK, lets play find the black eagle. Can you spot Emoyeni in my s'cap. Titter I had to wait till she moved to be sure she was on the nest.

Thanks for that information Judy. I knew we'd never had sound or an IR capabilities before. I think Africam needs to update their page. Nodding

I understand the need for banding (I still don't like it), and if they go ahead with it again this year, I hope the results aren't as awful as they were with Bafana.

12:35PM The cam is frozen and I can't seem to thaw it out this time. Well, at least I got to watch it for a few minutes anyway! Nodding

Good Morning Nightowl and JudyB!Hello
The cam is running for me. I pulled it up last night before going to bed ( around 11:30pm) and it was streaming but still nightime there.... and it's running this morning. It was stalling out at first, but once it got going it's running fine. Sometime if you click around the waterfall it will come back. Also the arrow at the bottom left.
A few morning s'capes:

Parent is incubating.

It really is hard to make out the parent at times as they blend in so well with the surroundings. fingers crossed that the cam will continue running today!
