Hi nightowl, Judy and welcome Karen!

Here's a great video I captured of Thulane delivering prey to the nest with Emoyeni following behind him. Mbuso was quick to grab it and mantled over it until Thulane flew away. Enjoy!

Video Camera Mbuso grabs prey from Thulane 8-23-11

Good morning Jean and Judy! Hello Welcome Karen! Hello

I was busy all day yesterday, so I didn't even turn on the cam. You guys got some great s'caps of Mbuso, so I feel like I didn't miss a thing! Left thumb up

Jean, thanks for the videos again! Cheers You're getting to be and old pro at making them! In the one from Monday, you caught what I missed. I didn't see Emoyeni fly in with food, only Mbuso's hesitation at digging in. WOW! I've never seen Mbuso mantle before! He's really purty with his feathers all spread out over his dinner, isn't he? Wub One thing I noticed was him mantling when Thulane was on the nest...only. That must be an 'eagle' thang, cause David and Alexandra only mantled when Pa brought food to the nest, and now Mbuso is repeating that behavior. Wonder what it is about the male bringing food that sparks the chicklets to mantle? Puzzled

When Thulane flew off, Mbuso looked up like "was it something I did?" Laugh

Good morning nightowl! Thanks for the praise. I am really enjoying doing videos.
I had the video going this morning since I got up, but Mbuso isn't venturing out too far. I am going to be leaving soon, so maybe tomorrow will be a better day for caps and videos! Have a good day all!wave
