6:00 pm

Someone is on the nest and calling for dinner!

It's hard to get a good angle, but I think I'm seeing a nice rounded crop there.

Tiny2 did a bit of flapping and pouncing, as well as calling - and left around 6:10 pm.

waveHey Sherri and JudyB, Thanks so much for your posts today. Great pics of Tiny2 and pops.
I hardly had time to read the posts, but did so anyway, in between putting items away outside and picking all the remaining veggies in the garden, in lew of Hurricane Irene. We're on the "windy" side of Irene.
It's already raining here in southern NH so I imagine the rain will be in Ayer's soon, if not already. Please be safe Tiny2 and pops. fingers crossedfingers crossedfingers crossed
I noticed that the patch of grass on the nest is getting long and it's really green! Too funny. Laugh
Please be safe everyone. Hope to be back here soon.

Good morning! I watched for a while this morning, and has been freezing a lot but occasionally working. No sign of any osprey, and I hope they've all found a nice safe spot to spend the next 24 hours. Will continue to watch when the cam is up.

Sending good thoughts to you, Sherri and Jude - it's not supposed to be as bad here in mid-coast Maine.

Thanks, Gerard. I haven't been able to connect to the cam for a while, so think power might be down. We're beginning to get brief periods of heavy rain, though the wind isn't here yet (I'm guessing the center of the storm will reach the nest area 3-4 hours before it gets here, but that's just a guess).

Slightly off topic, but I've had news from Sherri from our other forum - and it's good news! This is from Marcia, a friend of ours:

"I just got off the phone with Sherri and she is okay! Smile She is without power, but did not have any trees come down, and the sun is even peeking out from behind the clouds at the moment."

Wind is picking up here, and the lights are flickering so I'm likely to lose power for a while, but they're saying we're likely to have winds around 40 MPH with gusts up to 60 MPH - so while I wouldn't want to be out with an umbrella, it's a lot less than hurricane force!

The cam is back up and running,it's dark,no sign of Tiny2 during early day two hour's of recording before the black screen, but it's dark now and the light is
sparkling off the water,it's late now and the screen will start losing focus but no sign of Tiny2 or pops,it was
so just about the time that Tiny2
would migrate just before that storm, hope he did not do that,i believe pops would hang a little after Tiny2
takes off,i really hope to see him tomorrow, the both of them.
