Wow!! they are beauties!! I'd say they are older than laf'let at Lafarge. I hope we will be able to see them doing some serious flappersizng.

I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

Hi Gemini,
Finally made it to this nest on Sat. What an amazing day .Booth chick's were trying out there wings ...Mom was in the tree branches and Dad came in just after are arrival.Got lots of great pic's With plenty of passers by. It's funny how so many local people dont look UP!(Those that passed do now)
Dad took off after about 10Min. and I saw him flying with a Juvey which ended up trying to land on the nesting tree .Twice,Mom went from her branch to the nest and was not very happy.Dawn and I were thinking it might have been one of last years, still looking for a free meal.
What a wonderful nesting site .. It had been some time since we had both been to this park.Parking is cheap at the boat launch and Grandville Island is within walking Distance,the park it's self (and the Eagels)

Can't wait to see these two some more and there so cute!

Now that I live back in Vancouver I go down to Vanier everyday after work but I'm yet to capture the 2 eaglets wingersizing like these pictures taken by Martin. They are gloreous eaglet raptures, love the pictures
