Hi Jenobi. My opinion is new pictures are better than old pictures. If they are showing what's going on it's interesting. Obviously the more detail, the more info, but post what you have. Just my opinion. Thanks for posting.

Hi Ian wave
I was wondering... Do you take all you pics from under the nest? I have found in previous years the foliage of the big nest tree blocks the action and view of any pics unless you are taking shots of Pop from underneath ( dangerous Wink ).... ? I was hoping for tips on a a better vantage point than the bridge. I understand you have a fantastic camera but I was hoping to get abit closer, paparrazzi style Wink.
BTW thanks for the encouragement. My nests in Stanley Park seem a bit 'un'bobbleheaded' even though I have heard from Karen that the Merilees Trail nest has a chick. I have yet to see any action around that nest... Hmmmmm.

Always look up...

I'm usually in the Vanier Parking lot. I have found that for my gear the best spot is over near the back end of the parking spots for vehicles with trailers. You need to watch for cars, but I can usually find a hole between the branches to get a shot of the nest. But as you can see from the last shot I posted, the leaves are definitely filling in now.

Wonderful pictures, iansmith and Jenobi! Left thumb up

I find myself with a bit of a dilemma - it's great when eagles nest in strong, living, vibrant trees - and wonderful when there's a bit of shelter for the little eaglets. But couldn't they remove a few branches so we could get good pictures? Chin Roll eyes

As you say - little eaglets don't stay hidden for long - so I'll be looking forward to the next chapter in the story! Smile

Dropped by the Vanier nest and waited about 20 minutes. No sign of either adult, or the eaglets. They must be down inside the nest. Maybe they were still hiding from the gray whale which went past them yesterday...
