wave ,
Ma and Pa made no move to the nest to feed, and it looks like they might be big enough to self-feed

Will be keeping a closer eye on them now that I'm back in town.

Tuesday May 15th was down at Vanier nest today and spotted Pa and Ma hanging out at home in the nest tree but couldn't see the eaglets yet as the leaves have filled in the tree...I will have to wait until they start to fledge maybe around June 1st

Now I didn't spot the eaglets in the nest but I did spot this guy mr. wiley Coyote running near the nest tree base.... so to all the locals who read this beware of the coyotes near Vanier Park or the residential area and keep your cats in and your dogs on a short leash as coyotes usually hang in a pack are sneaky and strike before you realize they are there.....and as you can see they are there.

Another picture of the coyote who is wild so beware and I prey to god that the eaglets when they are fledging that ma and pa Vanier keep them off of the ground area around the nest or in the vicinity as there are wild coyotes in the area.

Saturday May 19 2012 down at the Vanier Park eagles nest but only saw one parent preening :dunno: which one...couldn't see any eaglets on the nest as the leaves are all filled in now....best bet is to wait until June 1st or so to catch the eaglets branching or fledging

Hello Everybody,

Thankyou Larry and Dawn for introducing us to yet another awesome nest!!
When we first arrived, both adults were in opposite sides of the tree, but the youngsters were hiding down in the nest. Then in a short time, we saw wings stretching from within the nest!

Then we saw two not-so-little faces looking back at us!

Then one of the youngsters turned and stretched his/her wings again.

It's always breath taking when on gets to see the magnificent wingspan these birds have.

While the youngsters were watching us watching them, Ma and Pa joined up on one of the branches and proceeded to have a conversation.
