I see one for sure. Is the second eaglet in the first picture, just to the right of the eaglet that's being fed, or is it the eaglet's body? I can't see 2 distinct eaglet.

TEF, you're absolutely right! I can't see two distinct eaglets either! I actually thought it was the grey spot to the left of the eaglet in the second picture but as I looked at it more closely, I now think it may be a piece of branch!

However, this is what I was told in the email that accompanied the pictures. Perhaps he could tell when Mom was feeding "them" that there was more than one. Sometimes one can tell by the feeding actions or from hearing multiple peeps at the same time! (I didn't see any eaglets last week when I was at the Richmond No 3 Road but you could sure tell there was more than one in the nest just from the overlapping peeps!)

I've tried to convince myself that I can see a second one in both pictures but just can't be sure! We should know soon enough since the one that's visible is VERY visible so the second one should follow suit.

I'll try to get down there as soon at possible (probably Sat morning) to see if I can confirm 2 eaglets.

Well my pics aren't as good but I took them from Sunset Beach and the Burrard Street Bridge with my Canon Powershot SX 10IS with a full digital zoom of 80X. A bit fuzzy and I could only make out 1 'bobblehead'...LOL

Always look up...
