Hey UrbanEagle don't you think you owe me an apology as I re wrote my opion after you disputed the fact that there were two eggs and two chicks

I've been following them since 2006 and I know their habits

How did she get this shot? I was at Vanier Park today mainly to photograph the eagles, but the nest was so high there was no way I could spot any eagles, or eaglets. I can zoom in enough with my telephoto lens, but all I could get was the bottom of the nest.

GuardianFlash if you know someone who works at the plantiarium you can stand on the balcony of the building and get this shot with a good high powered lense, but you must get permission from the staff to use the balcony.

Just because they have had 2 chicks in the past doesn't mean they always will. They may have 2 eggs but one or both eaglets might die or be killed.

I've been documenting on this thread since I found the eagle nest in my front yard

Then you know they've had failed nests before. In fact in 2007, the year I first saw them I believe the nest failed.

That shot might have been taken from the roof of the Vancouver archive building. It's open to the public, and you can walk up there without going inside. Shooting from the Planetarium is a very long shot. Even with the 600mm and a 1.7x teleconverter you still need to crop out a small part of the frame. But I have taken a couple from there.
