Vanier Park eagles April 23 2011

Judy ? how do you know this pair has two eggs?? I spent over 3hr. this morning observing these pair and saw no sign of them brooding .Yes they where in the nesting tree which leads me to beleive that something is going on ,but to make a statement that they have two...Sorry can't buy that!
12:04 Returning to the nest but no sign of feeding or an eaglet.

Dropped in for a quick look at Vanier before heading over to the PNE to meet Larry. Took a quick shot of the nest. One adult sitting quietly at the very back of the nest. Couldn't get a good look with out a branch in the way. Anyways, here' a photo.

How do you know? Was a photo taken from the bridge or are they big enough to peek over the nest?

Also, someone said an eaglet was in the talons of one adult. Is that true or was it something else? The post was never re-visited.
