Hi Doreen.. Nice cap and observation... you are right.. the mother hummingbird spreads the spider webs for strength and elasticity..

220pm caught fluff come to nest but looking up nervously, chicks trying to put little beaks up for food, ma half-heartedly put beak on one, then squirmed down on them protectively looking up still at ???
