The phantom attachments are back!

Here's a link to my post, including 2 attachments I didn't put there.

forum/viewtopic.php?topic=73193#73193

I didn't edit until I saw those attachments had shown up, and you can see what I did edit.

They're just 2 smilies, but I wonder who's post they should have been in. Chin Anyone missing a couple of smilies? Laugh

UrbanEagle posted a minute before I did, but after reading their post, I don't see why they'd use a ranting and head banging smilie.

Hi NIghtowl - I've sent a heads-up to the admins - I don't know if they can do anything (other than delete the smilies) or if it's an occasional glitch in this software. Puzzled

Nightowl and BOP, I don't believe we ever figured out why we get errant Smileys (and pictures at times) except that someone may have deleted a post previous to that one and the Smileys remained.

I think (but am not positive) that Mark at glFusion figured this out, and it will be fixed in a future release. I think Judy's right that it happens if someone deletes a post with a smiley - but it doesn't happen most of the time, just now and then. Puzzled

Darn...I forgot to say thanks, Judy.Embarrassed Thanks! Grin

Now I have another problem. Twice now when I've edited my post in Hornby, when I clicked 'submit', it took me back several pages...not back to the last page. Hornby is at present 121 pages (25 per page). The first time it took me to page 95, the next to page 101.

It doesn't seem to go squirrelly when you post the first time, just when you edit. Don't Know

(I thought we got rid of all that page jumping around when Wavelit went ppfffttt)

Puzzled I had that happen to me last night on Decorah as I was posting. I just thought it was something that I did!

It is now doing that to me - only when submitting an edit!
It either goes back several pages - or goes the whole hog - and deposits me on the Home page - leaving me to find my way back Grin

Chin

It sounds as if this happens when you edit a post you made recently? Is it generally a post on the last page? Off to edit some of my posts.... Smile

Edited to add....
Well, nothing of substance - just because.

Edited again -
Once you've posted, do you wait for it to automatically return you to your post, or do you click the link to take you back to your post?

Edited again -
Well, I've just tried both and all was fine - but this is a short thread. Off to try it on Decorah or Hornby.

One additional set of questions -
PC or Mac or other?
Internet Explorer or Firefox or Safari or Chrome or something else?
Have you cleared your cache any time recently?
