On a PC, you can use the Home button to go to the top of the page and the End button to go to the bottom. Not sure about Macs.

Saw Birdsie's suggestion of a down arrow, and thought how many times I'd wished for that, too! Then saw your post, JudyB, about the 'home' and 'end' buttons...I had no idea! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

And not to be a nag (but I am so very good at it )...any possibility of a "view newest posts first" option in our future? Or the return of the little 'sign in box' on each page, so we can sign in and remain on that page?

I think the ad column will probably be going back to the right. I was hoping to be able to stop the right ads from covering text on the cam pages, but it's not working the way I hoped. We may go through a couple more things that don't quite work before we get to something we can all live with.

And "view newest first" is part of the next major upgrade - but I still haven't seen a release date.

I just noticed a small 'box' in the ad column near the bottom with 'account settings', and there's a 'log in' option there. I'm going to log out, and see if that 'log in' option will keep me on the same page - like the previous log in box used to do....

Need one of these (I do!) And maybe one of these...

edit: I am so excited...as well as a little ...the 'sign in box' I asked about in the above post - is BACK and keeps you on the same page you are on when you log in Thanks for not at me and telling me to open my (old, lazy) eyes! That will teach me for not scanning the ad column, eh - tho I did notice a very nice video ad from Nat Geo (I think it was) the other day!

OK, this is not a major problem, but to these mostly asleep eyes, it really had me confused thinking I had somehow posted in 2 different threads at the same time. (this forum isn't that fast for me!)

Slygirl, part of my effort to fix the African Eagle page so the description isn't covered by the "ads" on the right was to move some of the items that had been in the right column to the left column - including the log-in box. (We don't have the right column visible on the forum because if we did, the pics would be partly covered.) I'm thinking of moving everything into one very long column - but we'll see.

Nightowl, I made an opening post for Libby Dam with just the date in it (had planned to add weather but it was taking me some time to find it). By the time I posted, jkr had already made a nice opening post - so I deleted mine. When the last post in a thread is deleted, rather than showing the post before it in the "last post" column, it seems to show the info from the most recent post on any thread - or occasionally says 1910. It is a glitch, but relatively consistent and not too scary once you know what it's doing.

Been away for a few days so when I logged onto HWF I was surprised to see the ads had moved from the far right column to the far left column. I have the same complaint that slygirl expressed on 5-24-10. BTW, I haven’t given up on an Alaska thread, but have been busy with other things.
