Things That Don't Work (the way we think they should)

I suspect that's the ongoing issue of links to posts not working unless the post is on the last page. I think it's been fixed, but am not sure if it's in the release we're waiting for Richard to load, or the one that's still in progress and will be released before too long. Hopefully it will be fixed soon, as it's quite a nuisance to have to describe the location of a post instead of just providing a link.

I had hoped that this issue was only a problem when posting within the forum... that is to say I'd hoped that a link to a specific post in say, an email to someone, would not be affected by the same issues as when it's a forum to forum thing...

I should check the link I put in my Personal calendar yesterday and see where it takes me....

Please check the TEST link below and see where you end up! you should see and an entry on March 3 "Delta Nest Update"

EDIT to ADD
: I tried twice using the link in the Personal calendar entry and both times I went to the corecct post...

I am going to post an entry to the Master Calendar and include a link to a forum post from the Sidney Thread. We shall see if that works... Everyone can see the MasterCalendar by clicking on the word Calendar on the Black Menu bar at the top of any HWF page...

Nope Terry it took me to mine, which ended up being a good thing. I figured out how to delete mistakes. There’s ( >> ) those things on the left if you click on the ones beside the row where the mistake is you can delete it. Problem I see there is it clears out the whole row. I had two entries and they both went.

Me thinks this needs a whole lot of work I’m afraid. I’m going to leave it till more things are working as they should. Good luck with it.

LORI, I have been using the Calendar sucessfully for about 3-4 years now. It doesn't need a lot of work. The tutorial is still being tested. It explains how to return to the form and edit any mistakes. Don't be in such a rush! You'll have less frustration if you are a bit more patient. wave

Thanks for testing the link for me.. It helps alot. we may have to put the linking between personal calendars and the general forum on hold, but I know that as a personal tool it will be useful to many.

It's a combined effort - Mark and the folks at glFusion added it to the newest version of the forum software - and Richard installed the updates!
