This may have already been mentioned, but the first thing I have noticed, is that when I get a Notification Email, on the old forum it told you which thread this was a reply to, but now it just says:
"Hancock Wildlife Foundation - Forum Post Notification". Now it is impossible to quickly scan down to see if a particular thread has had a reply, especially if you have recently posted a message on it and want to see any comments.
Also, when you log in, you get taken to the news page, and it takes a few page loads to get back to the thread you were trying to read in the first place.
These are just two things that I have noticed are different, and sorry, don't mean to upset anyone, and not for the bettter.

Thanks, Kathy - we do indeed want to know what could be improved. One of the strengths of this new forum software is that it is fairly young and has an active development team, so it's likely that they may incorporate many of the changes we suggest in future versions. That doesn't necessarily help at the moment - but it will get better!

We've discovered an interesting bug. We're not quite sure how it happens, but apparently if someone is going to make a post with an attachment, then changes their mind and cancels the post, at least sometimes the attachment doesn't disappear with the post but pops up in the previous or next post (not really sure which).
Once we're a bit more sure how it happens we'll submit a bug report - but for now, I wanted everyone to know - if you find an attachment in one of your posts and you didn't put it there - that's what happened.
(Anyone have the theme from the Twilight Zone handy?)

Now this really is the Twilight Zone, because this time my notification did actually reveal in the message subject which thread this notification was for!!! Or has someone managed to rectify it already. Or is it just me. I did try looking in my account settings to see if there was anything there that may effect how I am notified, but nothing obvious. Although I did change something, just can't remember what.

Quote by: kathyj Also, when you log in, you get taken to the news page, and it takes a few page loads to get back to the thread you were trying to read in the first place.
kathyj I don't know if this will help you re. log-in, but I discovered the other day that when you are not logged in, look over in the far right column, between the ads, above "Auto Translations", there is a My Account box with your name and password (in dots).
Here's how I proceed:
I use FireFox, and save my favorite pages to the Bookmark Toolbar in FireFox (LOVE IT!!!). What I do, is use the (FireFox) bookmark to take me to the page/thread I want, then go to far the right column, scroll down to find the log-in box, log in and I'm logged in at the same page - not the ''News Page".
The Bookmark function of your browser - not the forum bookmarks - eliminates a couple steps, I have found.
I have my forum account settings to 'remember me' for 1 month...so my name and password are in that box prior to signing in. BUT - I don't know if this is a 'forum' setting, or a FF setting (since I have my password 'remembered' in FireFox). We'll see in a few days!!!
I'd post a s'cap...but I'm already logged in...so the box isn't there!!!
Hope this helps your angst in getting to where you want to go a little quicker here!

Thanks for the hint, slygirl! Things are a bit different around here - but we'll figure it out eventually.
We're still looking into the mystery pics issue - if anyone knows of posts that have pics in them that they didn't put there, please let me know.
We have determined that it's not anything that's being done intentionally - what we're trying to do is figure out what chain of events makes it happen. Thanks!

I tried a post with an attachment several ways in the practice thread, and so far the picture hasn't appeared in the post above!
