June 11, 2011 - Ricky the raccoon visited the nest again last night. Pictures are below. We are planning on shutting down the live feed until the students come back in the fall. We are waiting to hear back from one of our business partners. It should be in the next couple of weeks.
Ricky the racoon appears to be renting the nest for the summer.

The third and fourth grade students at Blair-Taylor Elementary School in Blair, Wisconsin, were a little disappointed in "their" nest for the 2011 season. Their were no eggs, no hatchings, and no fledgings. Lucy and Larry, the resident pair, were at the nest a lot nestorating and eating but no eggs this year! We aren't even 100% positive that the original Lucy is the one who finished out the season.
This is a beautiful nest with a heck of a cheerleading squad! We wish them much better luck during the 2012 season!
