I didn't see a switch, but I agree that it's looking more like Mom. I am trying to get some work done, which does mean I'm not watching all the time.

He or she is looking around a lot, which may be more a Dad thing - so who knows.

Sometimes it looks like the weather
is improving and other times it looks like
the same nasty, cold ...looking storm.

Dad is facing 12 and rocks back and forth
at times and she is alert looking all around
while she incubates.

Sometimes it looks like Mom is perched beside
the nest...outside of our view on the close
up but visible on the wide angle view Don't Know

I'm going to reverse myself again - I now think Dad's been on the nest all this time.
He let out some calls, and I think it's Mom who arrived.

And you were right, Debs and Donna - there's absolutely a chick. love

Dad left immediately after Mom arrived, and Mom is now settling in to incubate the remaining egg, and brood what looked to be an active tiny chick. Smile

Added - glad you were watching, Debs, and looking forward to your pics - you're better at that than I am!

Welcome Sequoyah eaglet #1

Was not sure about what I reported earlier but sure did look like a little. Now we need to hope that the eagles do not get really cold or worse weather from that system that is over them right now.......I watched until just after 3 and then needed to go and get a few things done...so Debs Thank Youfor staying with them.
