10:31 Parent rocking facing 9
10:34 Incoming at 4. Parents switch. Good view of egg and eaglet. I had to refresh and did not get snaps.
10:35 settled over the let and the egg.

I went back and checked on the dates these eggs were laid. First was on Dec 28 and last could have been from the 30th to Jan 3rd. Egg may or may not be ready to hatch in the next 24 hrs.

Earlier when I was watching the eaglet had mouth wide open for feeding.

The cam froze an hour or two ago and I haven't been able to connect again. Will keep trying....

Thanks for the pics, Debs - hard to tell if that's a complete shell or if someone has popped out. Smile

Added - I checked the Sutton Center website, and all four of their cams are down. They are hoping it's related to the cold and snow and that they will fix themselves soon - if not, they'll try to get out to look at them next week (or at least at the parts they can access during nesting season).

There was no confirmation of a second hatch, though some observers thought they might have seen a hole or crack.

February 4 2011

Cams are still down.

Judyb Hello I definitely saw a pip yesterday morning and I thought I saw two bobbleheads later in the morning Wub but it was too quick to get a snappy with possibly 4 widdle eyes to confirm it Laugh

Current Weather Conditions
-4 C with light snow

Here is a look at the weather for the next couple of days.

Wow - that is cold! Maybe warming up to one below zero by Saturday - wow. I think it's not surprising that the cameras are having issues - most batteries don't work very well in that sort of cold. It does give me hope that the cams will come back when it warms up a little - and these seem very good parents, and I'm betting they have a nice warm nest, so the little ones should be OK. Smile

Am on watch to see if we have two eaglets and how they are doing after the storm and subzero temps.

Good morning, Donna - beautiful picture!

I just checked the Sooner Lake site (http://www.suttoncenter.org/pages/live_eagle_camera) and they are reporting that the second egg has hatched and both chicks have been fed.

Cam is freezing from time to time - I'll watch for a while, and see if I can get a pic.

Judy B that is great news.

Cam froze and is not refreshing for me right now. Will keep trying, but I have to leave in about 30 min.
