you can see the new lett is sitting
up nicely.

and offering a wee bit to the new 'lett'

Thank you for the wonderful pictures and reports on our newest eaglet. love And thank you, CAL, for the blanket - I'm afraid our little one may need it - though I'm very confident that the pair here will do a great job of taking care of the little one and the sibling-to-be through the night.

I do think I need to send an email to Alan at the Sutton Center to discuss dates. I think I read that the last of the three eggs was laid January 3 - which means this is most likely the first egg, and just 35 days old - which makes it unlikely that the second egg would be pipping so soon. But I'm not sure if the date was a fact or a guess - so need to check (if only for my own highly-analytical nature).

It was really wonderful to see the little one so active and eager for food, in spite of the rather inhospitable weather - hug to the little one - and to all the friends of the Sequoyah nest. love

Had a peek at the little one this morning, and all is looking good. Didn't see a feeding, but did see the little one moving around. Must say that after watching the Jordan Lake eaglets the last almost three weeks - this little one looks very, very little!
