Thanks for your updates, Bev! Wonderful news about Fluff!
Two things - first, I don't know if folks have noticed, but Sue Erickson has an eagle nest she can watch from her home office - with four eaglets! It's exceedingly rare for eagles to lay four eggs, more rare for all to hatch - and even rarer for all to thrive - and the four eaglets Sue has been watching are now 7-8 weeks old, and doing great! We had hoped to get a cam there, but that didn't work for this year - so while it's a Ground Observer nest, it's in our Hancock Cams area - link is forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=194804
And the second thing is that there was a bit of excitement at the nest yesterday. Sue saw something moving around right under the nest that looked a lot bigger than the squirrels she sometimes observes there - and realized when it moved to the near side of the tree that it was a bear, right below the nest and sort of looking as if it was trying to figure how to climb around this obstruction. Fortunately the bear decided to go back down the tree - and all four chicks are OK this morning - but Sue got some amazing video of the bear moving around, and the eagles' response to this intruder near their nest. Link to Sue's post with the videos is forum/viewtopic.php?topic=216893#216893

Both of the beautiful eaglets in the Bonelli's Eagle nest in Spain have fledged. The oldr and larger female on either June 1st or 2nd and the smaller, younger male yesterday, June 3rd. I will miss them but wish them a long and happy eagle life filled with lots of adorable eaglets! Soar with the wind, Bonelli's babies!!

Must report the death of an osprey chick.
There are now only 2 chicks on the Project Osprey - Montana, Hellgate Nest. The baby, hatched on Friday, June 10th, is no longer.
Have been offline much due to PC issues so have no idea what may have happened to the youngest chick.
Sorry to be grumpy, but do wish the human who walks her dog in the yard near the nest would stop. Mom got very upset the last time I saw it happen. Dad flew onto the nest to try protect/comfort Mom and the chicks.
