Your pictures are just wonderful, eaglet Yes, it does make sense to me; fully understand what you mean by saying " hard to watch, but good to see" as it relates to sibling rivalry. Hopefully that stage of their development will soon be at an end.

Wonderful pictures, eaglet! They do look like big fluffy pincushions at this point - but it won't be long before they begin to look like eagles!

My slideshow is pretty dull today - they spent much of the day sleeping (which is not unusual at this age and stage - I'm thinking it takes a lot of energy to grow feathers, so they just lay back and let that happen for a week or two!) - and things are getting busier at work and at other cams, so I didn't have as much time to watch. I think the highlight for me was actually getting a s'cap of one of them standing up on their "adult" feet. I'm not feeling compelled to do a lesson in the anatomy of eagle feet - but it does take a while before they stand up on their feet the way adults do - and that is an important milestone, because once they can stay up right on both feet, they can learn to stand on one foot while the other holds a fish (or whatever) - which allows them to feed themselves successfully!

Thanks for the weather, CAL - at least these chicks are a bit more prepared for a bit of snow, and it does sound as if it won't last if it snows at all.

Great pictures from yesterday, eaglet! I think I was too busy watching Sequoyah (and maybe doing my work) to really focus on this nest - and the cam was pretty grainy a lot of the time - which is a long way of saying this is another fairly short slideshow.
