6 days - 4 days - 1 days

April 20 s'cap by Eagle lovers fro - family portrait - 10:29 am

Summary:

#1 still aggressive, but #2 is getting fed and #3 is making an occasional appearance

at one point Dad brooded/sat on #1 while one or both of the others got some food

#3 fed a little (about 16 hours old) - link

more vicious/oldest-eaglet-like behavior by #1 (though quite a bit more brutal than in other nests, including a bit of shaking of the younger ones, as well as pecking)

noted that #1 sometimes preferred pecking at siblings to eating, even when food was being offered and even though her crop didn't seem that full

9 days old - 7 days old - 4 days old

April 23 s'cap by HikerBikerGram - older chicks beside the adult at 11:09 am

Summary:

all three being fed

older two are spending time peeking out while being brooded, and were lying in front of adult for a while

#1 and # 2 using their wings to move around while #3 is being brooded

Dad on nest duty for several hours - tried to fluff out to shade the chicks (roughly 11 am - 1:40 pm)

a bit less food (or at least less feedings), and a bit more rivalry, though nothing like the first few days

April 24 s'cap by MayLine - peaceful feeding at 6 pm

As of the morning of April 24, the Discussion thread had 6,431 posts and 285,076 views; the Timeline thread had 1940 views; and the Video thread had 819 views.

Summary

chicks - and Mom - up early, before it was fully light

rivalry at first feeding, #1 pecking # 3, who only got a few bites (#1 got most, #2 got quite a bit); next feeding was more peaceful and all were fed

chicks alone for a while, with adult perched on one of the branches overhead

noted that not everyone was fed at all feedings, though there wasn't serious rivalry reported, and I think everyone was well fed in the end

adult may have accidentally bumped/nicked a chick with her talon; eaglet stayed down for a bit but no apparently injury - link

looked as if it was starting to rain in the evening

11 days old - 9 days old - 6 days old

April 25 s'cap by garyandjudy - shift change in the rain, 11:10 am

Summary:

fairly peaceful breakfast but some pecking - #1 got most, #2 got some, #3 got a little

started raining fairly hard afterwards - could see a little head trying to pop out occasionally; parents did a switch during which the chicks were uncovered in at least a bit of rain for a minute or two - not something that would have happened when they were younger

several midday feedings - not sure if #3 was fed

noted that some twine might have been brought into the nest - link

all fed in late afternoon feeding, younger two get more at early evening feeding

big white fish (mouth on bottom?) brought in around 7 pm; all fed

[Reminder that there are several videos and also video marks in the archives - thank you!]
