Hello& Howdy Do, (((All)))?.....

Thanks for the link Scott. It's still very interesting to hear the different thoughts on Hope.
Nottie didn't come from a breeder and maybe the people didn't know she couldn't swallow solid food, but you have to wonder. Chin

elle.....you are so right; prior to our loss, i never realized just how much the word "hope" was uttered in this world. I'm sure they chose Hope's name with much thought, but they could not have had idea how significant it would become. No

Annie (Yeah to rain!) & Scott......some kind of marking, at least, for the yearlings known to visit baited areas for sure.

Nancy.....i know what you mean about your Rays. We waited thru sooo many years of failure & were shocked the Rangers even made it to the playoffs last year, much less this year too. Your boys certainly came close to beating us each game. Nodding

Scott.......I laughed at myself early this morning when i had a Idea moment. Somehow i thought you were confused when i read your bat tree post, i had baseball on my mind and thought i'd missed a comment from Jean to Nancy about her Ray's needing more bats. It only took about 36 hrs. before it clicked for me. Titter

'afternoon {{{{{{{{{{Nestlings}}}}}}}}}} Hello

I watched this show last night....Hummingbirds Magic in the Air on PBS. Here's a link to it but it's not available yet but it will be so bookmark it for later and try again. You really should take the hour out to watch it, it's fascinating!!!

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes ... sode/5475/

Black-chinned Hummingbirds build their nests all in the same tree as the Cooper’s Hawks. One hawk nest surrounded by dozens of hummer nests. The reason for this: the hawks prey on all the animals that prey on the hummingbirds. These little hummingbirds know they are safe around the hawks as they're too small and too fast for the hawk to bother with. The hawk knows his lunch will come to try to make the hummers their lunch, I just love relationships like this!

the other thing I wanted to share with you guys is this...

You likely or maybe remember me telling you about the day my most beloved Pokey came home and I put a dish of milk down for him right? He took one look and came flying over and jumped in it! well looky what my buddy sent me last night.....

I'll take a stab at some red later if I can, after a few good days today...nut so much but I do have a few comments that have to come out so I don't burst hehe...

my Tx I don't recall you telling the story of sweet Nottie as a puppy! ohhhhhh thank heavens she was taken care of!! Wub

SS Annie I just wanted to pick up that sweet puppy and love on him to death! what a great story hug

got a great laugh Candy out of the monkey on your back, you crack me up!! Laugh 25,000 pts!

Scott I'm sooooooooo glad to hear 'so far so good' for your sweet Buddy! Wub

that's all I can do for now besides thanking my Nesties for the beloved dailies and all the other great posts hug

I would rather spend my life close to the birds than wishing I had wings
