Hi Y'all! I missed the broadcast this afternoon. Xel-Ha... Pitina's mate and Osito's daddy was having some back problems last week and over the weekend. Both he and Osito tend to get back spasms so I have a supply of muscle relaxers to give them when it flares up. This time it wasn't giving Xel-Ha relief so I called our vet and they said to bring him right in. When Charles saw him, he said this is what I call an emergency situation. He was having pressure on his spine which could be the result of a slipping disc.He did a laser treatment, gave him a huge steroid shot and he has 3 medicines to take 2Xday. He wants to see him back on Friday unless it gets worse instead of better... then sooner. Charles feels it's something that can be treated, but if it worsens, then it would require surgery. Say some prayers that surgery isn't necessary.
I just wanted to check in and let y'all know why I wasn't there. Thinking of all of you. It's been a long day, so I am going to plop in my lounge chair and relax. Good Night all!

Good Afternoon Dear Nesties
I wanted to do ketchup early this morning but the site drove me to distraction then I couldn't get on at all. It is working better now but still not up to speed for me. My mouse is also giving me a hassle. I think it's the infrared going out. I changed the mouse batteries so that's not the problem. I'm having to use it on the desk top instead of the lower shelf where the keyboard is and that hurts the heel of my hand. Oh well, if it isn't one thing, it's another. I wish I could have stayed at the show today but I was really happy to see you there (((((Starr)))))
Amanda Knox is coming home!
Rose, Lovely cam captures from Peggy’s Cove. I love seeing those.
Scott, I am dismayed that anyone would delete Hope’s Adventure and attempt to delete Lily’s page. This is beyond the pale. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but why do these people think everyone should feel as they do. I love the video and photo of funny Faith.
News+Truth=oxymoron (by a lot of morons) .
I'll be over to check in at your thread.
Lori, I really enjoyed your video/slideshow. You sure saw a lot from a lot of places. The Merlin is a pretty guy/gal and the lake-sky shots are great. Amazing firey sky. I really liked the photo in your post when I saw it on the vid. Also, the trees are so beautiful...really nice shots of those.
Btw, do you ever go back to where those stairs were that you shot a long time ago? That was a nice area.
@ Eldon….the mental vision is hilarious.
I checked in on Delta this morning but did not see the eagle.....glad you posted the pic.
Great to see your post Laurie. Very cute Monday card.
Very beautiful autumn photos you are posting Jeannie. I won’t see fall colors here for a month or more.
Thank you Nanc and yes it is amazing. Just think of how many “notables” have made their diagnosis
known just this year. So many strides have been made and I remain hopeful we can deliver a knockout punch to this and other dreadful cancers.
Judy, Beautiful Good Morning card.
Hope you are recovering from your most important walk.
Love the photos of Jayden . He’s such a handsome little fella.
Gordie, Don’t you know it’s the ‘stars’ that come out at night…..
Great news about the hatch Tweet.
Kat, The rose Fotd is a real beauty.
Anna, Super photos. ICE?! I really like the artistic shot through the hole in the fence....my favorite.
Penquin?.....how I miss it? Very cool seagull among the Cormorants and GBHeron. Pretty dragonfly & butterfly. What is that on the bank behind the cormorants flying’? Looks like a mini waterfall…pretty scene.
HI Linda, I hope the cygnet isn't in any pain. I felt bad seeing h/h constantly trying to hold his wing up. I have a pigeon who comes here with a wing that hangs down like that but h/s can fly and doesn't seem to be hurting. I hope Mike has the answers.
Oweeee Candy, You mean you're just learning that lesson! I'm sorry GF but love your sense of humor.
Aw Tweet, I'm sorry for Xel-Ha. I hope he doesn't have to have surgery.
Elle, You're on my mind.
((((((((((SUSIE)))))))))),
I am zonked and ready for some down time.
See all later.....

Good evening nestmates.
Naoma, YW for the L&F candle. Karen, I mean Jim (Cole'sYounger brother ) was standing guard by the door and stoking the fire and just when I was going to give him his name tag, he vamoosed out the door - guess he heard some rustlers.
Linda, great examples and photos of what nature provides!
Nanc, yes Bigelow Tea, just like Mendelson Joe. Only Abigail has sensitive ears! Mine are just burnin.
Jean, that ain't no lingo - that's the way we outlaws tock, pardner. My ears like to be out in the country, just not listening to it! Unless it is the soothing sounds of nature. Somehow I don't like twangin gee tars qualify as "soothing". Looks like a perfect spot on the Guadalupe. I B armed and not so dangerous.
Sue, good to see your post. Hopefully the hair loss is just temporary.
Anna, nice pics.
Rose, great shots of the Bittern. They are very hard to see when they are in a bunch of reeds and they are standing with their heads craned up like that. They really blend in with the reeds so you were lucky to see it out in the open like that.
Judy, sounds like you earned being wiped out. Good for you for running for the cure.
Scott, well, I tried to splain it to you as best I could so if you are still confused, I guess I'm no miracle worker! Lots of BC survivors. to your Mom Unbelieveable about some of the comments on the Bear thread - people were given two ears and one mouth for a reason - to listen twice as much as you say - sadly, in a lot of people, they seem to have 2 mouths. See, I went to bed last night just like I was told! Unlike some night Owls...
Lori, nice to see your Perty Skies, Fall Colours and Bonus Critters.
Laurie, that is only one day's ketchup?? Good jobbie!
Posting this - gotta watch "House".
