I'm bowing out for today/tonight. I have a beastly headache....did I mention Tom was on vacation this week?
Seriously, we were finishing up cleaning our bedroom, readying for our new furniture. We had to move my heavy dresser and his chest of drawers to vacuum, wash walls, yadda, yadda. Well we were moving my dresser back and Tom moved to quickly and my head got stuck between the wood and the wall. My head is still round, but the edge of the dresser caught me right behind my ear until he could move it for me. I put ice on it, took Advil, but it still is not feeling good at all. Moral of the story is don't work together if you can't work together.

Hi Y'all! I missed the broadcast this afternoon. Xel-Ha... Pitina's mate and Osito's daddy was having some back problems last week and over the weekend. Both he and Osito tend to get back spasms so I have a supply of muscle relaxers to give them when it flares up. This time it wasn't giving Xel-Ha relief so I called our vet and they said to bring him right in. When Charles saw him, he said this is what I call an emergency situation. He was having pressure on his spine which could be the result of a slipping disc.He did a laser treatment, gave him a huge steroid shot and he has 3 medicines to take 2Xday. He wants to see him back on Friday unless it gets worse instead of better... then sooner. Charles feels it's something that can be treated, but if it worsens, then it would require surgery. Say some prayers that surgery isn't necessary.

I just wanted to check in and let y'all know why I wasn't there. Thinking of all of you. It's been a long day, so I am going to plop in my lounge chair and relax. Good Night all!

Gee Linda I sure Mike helps the cygnet cause he needs to be able to fly and soon! You're welcome for the Delta eagle and yes I hope so too from the ground crew. Donna posted on screech that Elle reported seeing them back at the new nest but I didn't see that anywhere

Good Afternoon Dear Nesties

I wanted to do ketchup early this morning but the site drove me to distraction then I couldn't get on at all. It is working better now but still not up to speed for me. My mouse is also giving me a hassle. I think it's the infrared going out. I changed the mouse batteries so that's not the problem. I'm having to use it on the desk top instead of the lower shelf where the keyboard is and that hurts the heel of my hand. Oh well, if it isn't one thing, it's another. I wish I could have stayed at the show today but I was really happy to see you there (((((Starr)))))

Lori, I really enjoyed your video/slideshow. You sure saw a lot from a lot of places. The Merlin is a pretty guy/gal and the lake-sky shots are great. Amazing firey sky. I really liked the photo in your post when I saw it on the vid. Also, the trees are so beautiful...really nice shots of those.
Btw, do you ever go back to where those stairs were that you shot a long time ago? That was a nice area.

HI Linda, I hope the cygnet isn't in any pain. I felt bad seeing h/h constantly trying to hold his wing up. I have a pigeon who comes here with a wing that hangs down like that but h/s can fly and doesn't seem to be hurting. I hope Mike has the answers.

Rose, great shots of the Bittern. They are very hard to see when they are in a bunch of reeds and they are standing with their heads craned up like that. They really blend in with the reeds so you were lucky to see it out in the open like that.

Judy, sounds like you earned being wiped out. Good for you for running for the cure.

Scott, well, I tried to splain it to you as best I could so if you are still confused, I guess I'm no miracle worker! Lots of BC survivors. to your Mom Unbelieveable about some of the comments on the Bear thread - people were given two ears and one mouth for a reason - to listen twice as much as you say - sadly, in a lot of people, they seem to have 2 mouths.
