I'm delighterd to be able to tell you that this cam is now on for the 2010/2011 winter!
It shows and area of forest where food is left to help the White Tailed Eagles survive!
Though, of course, you can expect other raptors and the crow family as well!
Even a fox Smile

Don't forget, Estonia is 10 hours ahead of Vancouver.

The link to the cam, which plays in WMP is:

There was only one Buzzard there at 3:48pm today!
But it had been a hive of activity earlier in the day!

The Looduskalender forum is HERE

This feeding does not in any way make the birds tame - in the same way as your bird feeder doesn't!
Stuff leftover from the hunters - anything that dies in the forest - and especially road kill is dragged here - so when the eagles scavenge - as eagles do - they do it within sight of the camera - and a lot more safely than on the road edge! Grin

This area is really a wetland - they have to wait for the Winter freeze to install and start the camera!

Thank You PEB for checking on that and posting the link. When I could catch this cam during their daylight hours last year it was sometimes very interesting!! Left thumb up

This looks like a Buzzard - trying to get his fill in spite of all the crows!
The food is frozen in these temps!

Thank You Castor and woof for those great pics! Woof, I think your top pic is a juvi white tailed eagle. They look remarkably like our juvi bald eagles. In the bottom pic the front bird is a white tail for sure. I can't quite tell if it is a sub-adult or and adult but it certainly is pretty standing there posing for us!! love
